Past: The day of her birth was a joyous time for parents. They were very happy for their first fawn was born. It was a long painful birth for Francisca’s Mother, but after Fran had entered the world did they notice she was special. From the moment she stood she was welcomed by the birds of the sky. Her father, a Stag known as Nik, had gazed upon her with warmth, he knew she was his mate’s first, and actually his first also. On that day when she was born the birds of the sky and of the ear rang out with many different songs of celebration.

As a few months passed by Fran’s mother started showing Fran how to do things, running, jumping, the works. Teaching her the ways of a fawnling doe. Francisca enjoyed the company of her mother. It was fun to be with her mother, and her father. She was happy with them, they loved her and she loved them.

When she was five months old is when her parents passed on. It had been a very stormy season, the birds were tucked away in their nests, the other animals in shelter, and the herd was in their respective places of shelter. All but her family. They were caught out in the rains; the rain so heavy it was blinding them. Her Father was walking in front of his mate and Francisca when they had thought they heard the bellow of thunder. But in reality it was the bellowing roar of the biggest Cave Lion ever seen before. The thing was massive, teeth like the sharpest of horns; claws like the pointiest of prongs. Her father didn’t see it until his back was shredded from those claws. Thats all Francisca had seen of her father before her mother pushed her into the bushes; going to help her mate.

Francisca had woken up the next morning to see a pride of cave lions surrounding her parents bodies. That had been the moment she was orphaned. Only at the age of 5 months she had been forced out onto her own. Traveling to where she knew the herd would be she found some of her mothers friends and they took care of her until now. At the Age of 6 months.
