I decided, as a way for me to start back into perfecting my traditional style since I don't have a way of drawing digitally. That I'd offer up my traditional fawnling references up as a commission. Their gunna be a bit pricey due to it will take me a few days to complete it. But I promise I will get it done (Or let you know if it may take longer then expected)

HERES AN EXAMPLE OF THE ART:  Spirita | Doe | Light-Bringer by FatesSpirit

Now, Heres the kicker: the cost.

I know everyone doesn't have gobs and gobs of points so there will be two options of payments. AP/HP or Points.

Most traditional works at 1k-2k :points:

Summer, Year 760 of the New Age

Silvervale, Silverthorne

Featuring: Zula (NPC) Spirita

HELP ME!”</i> The Older doe screamed, her voice growing weaker as she lost the voice that used to be like the wind but now has nothing but a slight bitterness to it. “I’M GOING TO DIE, HELP ME!!!” </i> That was the final sound she ever made, that moment, the large hulking body of a ferocious cave lion came hurling against her. Oh Grian...Luan… Father Adhar… I’m coming home now..</i> Her thoughts said as her eyes looked to the sky.

The Older doe couldn’t fight back against the Cave Lion, She was too weak. Using magic drained her energy greatly, and after that run for her life, she couldn’t move any more. The Cave lion had left scratches along her sides and neck, that were bleeding profusely, her life source slowly draining.  The Cave Lion was finishing with her as she slowly passed away, the belly of the Cave Lion full and content as he left her… to die.

“I love you my Darling Spirita.. My Little Fire Spirit…” Mumbled the old doe as she collapsed, passing on to the heavens in which Adhar ruled. Leaving behind the world she knew to move into the peaceful world of the heavens.

Escaping the body in which she knew, Zula, Spirita’s own mother, Walked into the light of Grians’sun, Being followed by the Darkness of Luans’ moon.

Spirita:

Run… RUN!!!! Her mind screamed at her, urging to find the familiar doe, to save her before… before she could be killed. She had heard the screams and the roars before she had started off to find them. The screams were of her mothers’, the roars of what could only be a cave lion.

“I’M COMING MOMMA!” She cried out as she reached the edge of the Silvervale… But what she saw made her stop in her tracks… The Limp form of her mother… The one she loved… Her protector… Her best friend.. “N..N..NOOOO!” She stuttered and cried, stumbling down the small hill to the form.

Tears Cascaded down Spirita’s cheeks in streams so large they damped her cheeks in seconds. Looking down to the still body of her Mother she slowly nudged her mother with a hoof.

“Momma? Momma? I’m Here.. Please Momma.. Wake up..” She whimpered, her whole body trembling with sadness as she collapsed next to the form of her Mother, curling her tail around her mother, laying her mother’s head across her legs..

“Your safe Momma.. Your safe… Your okay… Momma Your Okay.. Dad will avenge you.. I’ll avenge you.. Momma I love you.. I love you so much..” Spirita cried and cried over her mother, not caring she was getting covered in blood.

As Her mother grew colder, and the light From Grian slowly started to fade, Spirita said her final goodbyes to her mother.

“One Day… One Day we’ll be together again.. We will run and play like we did.. We will be a family again… One Day..  One Day….” Giving her Mother a Loving lick, taking her mothers trinkets, she turned and left her mother, tears still streaming down her cheeks. Her warm eyes looked up to the sky, the stars were out and a shooting star crossed over the sky, much like a tear from her mother and the gods.

Goodbye Momma… You're forever in my heart… I will never forget you… I will not give up on you…

Summer, Year 760 of the New Age

Silverwood, Silverthorne

Featuring: Spirita | Doe | Aspiring Firebringer

    Leaping and bounding through the forest, the sun’s rays casting light against her dark coat, she ran.. Not for her life.. but for something else.. She was looking for the teeth of the deadly cave lion..

    This quest all started when she had met Brago.. The Blackwood.. He wanted items that were only found on Silverthorne territory.. And being the nice doe she is, she offered to get them for him.. Obviously for a price. She didn’t state her price to him, but she knew what she wanted. A fawn. One she could spoil and baby over. Not one that she let the stag’s mate who bred her take care of…

    Run Faster… The voices in her head said softly to her, and she obeyed, pushing herself faster, making her hooves hit the ground harder.. Run.. Run…

Her sides heaved as she slowed down, looking around she spotted the glistening shine of the white teeth of a skull. Curious to what kind of skull it was she crept closer, tail lifted high and horn pointed.

“YES!” She squealed happily when she saw the long fangs of the Cave Lion. Using her teeth she picked the skull up and used her tail to thread one of her vine bracelets through the eyes of the skull. She grinned happily and strapped the skull to her back, starting to turn and head back to the herd.

Her tail swished  happily as she softly hummed to herself. Her rut would perfect this year.

Spring, Year 760 of the New Age

Silverwood, Silverthorne

Featuring: Zephyra, Laderic, and Angelique

Autumn came and went, as did the snowy days of winter. All the while Zephyra's belly grew heavy with fawn. Finally, spring came and Zephyra felt the unexplainable urge to go off on her own. Not to run, she couldn't really do that anymore, but for some other reason she couldn't think of.

The reason was revealed to her on a cool evening. She had found a secluded thicket away from the herd, not far but enough that it was peaceful and quiet. She had been laying In her thicket enjoying the peace when she felt the fawn move inside her followed by a sharp pain.

It was time. And she wanted Laderic here with her. She looked around and spotted a smaller brown stag, guarding the vale. " Please," she said getting the stag's attention. "Please could you find Laderic? He's the big dark stag in the herd not far from here. Bring him here." She winced as another pain went through her. "Hurry. " The stag nodded and galloped off to deliver the message to Laderic.

Laderic:

Hearing the message Laderics eyes widened and he lunged into a swift gallop, following the stag towards the direction of which Zephyra was. Hoping he could make it there before something happened.

He had just shed his rack, and collected the Metal tines to give to Ember. They jingled and clanked in the pouch around his neck as he ran. Before long he had reached Zephyra to see her laying there in pain. “What happened!?” He asked in a worrisome tone.

Zephyra:

Zephyra's ears twitched when she heard the jingling sound and she lifted her head as Laderic arrived at her hiding place. "Laderic," she said softly, wincing as another pain raced through her belly. When it subsided she looked up at him. "I think it's time." She put out her front legs in an attempt to stand, but another pain went through her. Making her sink back down with a gasp.

Laderic:

Rushing over to her he nudged her cheek softly with his nose looking her over. “I’ve never helped a doe birth.. I’ve only stood guard.” He flicked his ears back, nuzzling her belly trying to calm the fawn inside, unsure if that would help Zephyra or not. “How long have you been in pain?”

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as Laderic nuzzled her cheek. "Having you here is enough," she said. Laderic's nuzzling did help a little bit, the fawn seemed to settle down, but Zephyra could still feel it move every so often. Zephyra shook her head as she tried to remember. "Not too long. I was a little uncomfortable yesterday but today the pains are stronger."

Laderic:

Laderic’s brow furrowed, though he didn’t know much about things doe’s did, like birthing fawns, he did know he should stick around in case a predator smelled the doe giving birth.

His head lowered as he rested his forehead against her belly softly, trying to listen for a moment… “I heard doe’s push them out right?? Have you tried that.. or is it still too early..?”

Zephyra:

Zephyra nodded, wincing as another pain went through her. " Mama said the fawns come when they come," she said when the pain had subsided. Although she wasn't scared, Zephyra was still nervous. This was her first fawn after all. "I don't think it's too early, but I don't think I should push either. Soon. But not y..y...et...." At the last word a pain sharper than the ones before shot through her, causing her to grunt. Her front hoof pawed at the ground as if trying to make the pain go away.

Laderic:

Laderic’s ears pinned back again as he lowered his head, nuzzling her cheek a moment. His tail flicked a moment as he looked to the sky. The stars were starting to shine in the sky, the skies once beautiful blue turning a dark navy or purple. It reminded him much like his own birth, only without the rain.

Looking to Zephyra’s belly he softly licked it and nuzzled it, hoping to relieve some pain if at any.

Zephyra:

The pain only seemed to strengthen and Zephyra felt the fawn move again, only this time it felt more insistent. It was time. Some how she knew this and for the first time since she could remember, Zephyra was afraid. Afraid of not knowing what was going to happen.

She laid her head down and rolled slightly on her side as the muscles around her belly tensed.

Laderic:

Laderic laid by her, licking her belly softly as he gave her a concerned look. His ears pinned back against his head as he watched her belly, wondering how a doe carried a fawn in there and how doe’s knew to birth but he didn’t ponder too long for he knew it must be time.

Zephyra:

Laderic's licking did help to comfort her as she started to push. Zephyra's eyes closed as she asked the gods to watch over them and keep anything bad from happening.

It seemed to take forever, but eventually, just when she felt like she couldn't last much longer, she felt something slip from her body. Her fawn. After she took a moment to catch her breath, she raised her head so that she could see her fawn.

Laderic:

The scent of blood filled his nostrils as he licked her belly. Noticing something ermerge from Zephyra his head reached over to peer at the tiny fawn. Her little body sprawled out on the ground and she moved slowly. “It’s a Girl… You did it Zeph..” He licked her cheek softly.  Looking to the small filly that was trying to move.

Angel:

The darkness that had been her comfort for so long had gotten more and more cramped as she grew. She had heard many voices from her burrow, Some were male, some female.. They all seemed muffled, she didn’t know what they said.. But now.. When she felt the air on her wet hide, and the voice of the two near her she felt a peace.

Her little heart beat slowly at first then rapidly as she started trying to move, trying to call out. She couldn’t see, she could barely smell. But sounds assaulted her big ears as they swiveled around, testing their muscles.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as Laderic praised her and licked her cheek, her eyes on the tiny filly. Her fawn. Their fawn. She saw the fawn's distress and reached over to nuzzle the filly, instinctively licking her fur. "It's okay my little love," she said in a soft gentle voice.

Laderic:

Laderic watched Zeph and their small fawn, he beamed with pride. His eyes warm as he watched the two Interacting. He couldn’t be happier.

Angel:

Hearing the voice that was softer then the thicker rougher sounding one she started to  open her little eyes, feeling someone licking her. She lets out a tiny squeak. Calling out. Her long thing flicked. Her eyes open and her ears push forwards as she looked behind her at her thing. It was dark like her burrow. But it wiggled. She tilted her head as she wiggled it before looking up to the creature next to her. The one she came from.

Her long knobby kneed legs move slightly as she tries to stand, letting out more and more squeaks and calls. Her ears pinned back in frustration.

Zephyra:

Zephyra was completely absorbed in her filly as she continued to lick the fawn. Black? She couldn't recalled ever seeing a black fawn. Zephyra thought she was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.

Smiling as the fawn squeaked and struggled to stand, Zephyra rose to her feet and gently nudged her fawn. "Come on," she said. " Try again. "

Angel:

Angel’s long legs flail a bit as she tries again, letting out another frustrated squeak but finally she got up. She stumbled a bit, falling against the big fluffy creature that was still down. She felt him move and nudge her up softly, hearing him do this thing with his voice.

Laderic:

Laderic chuckled softly when he watched their filly fall against him. Lightly nudging her cheek he said softly, “Go to Mama, You’re doing great.” His eyes were warm as he watched the little filly register their voices. Laderics eyes were warm and his heart swelling with joy and pride for Zeph and for their filly.

“What should we name her?”

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as she watched their filly, laughing softly when stumbled and fell against Laderic. "Come to my voice little one," she said gently. She looked at Laderic, her eyes warm as she thought it over. "She's beautiful. Like an angel. "

Angel:

Hearing the soft voice she looked to the creature that made it and slowly walks to her on wobbly legs. Going over she lets out a small squeak, looking up into the eyes of the creature, her large ears pushed forwards as her little snake thing flicked and twitched before curling.

Laderic:

He smiled and said softly as he watched their filly’s tail twitch and her ears move. “Hm…. How about Angélique?” He looked to their filly again, watching over her and Zeph as they interacted. His ears lifted as he stayed alert for any signs of danger.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as the filly hobbled over to her. "Angelique," she said softly, letting the name roll over her tongue. She looked at Laderic. " It's perfect. Angélique. " She turned back to the fawn, giving her a soft lick.

Angel:

She felt the creature wipe softly arcoss her cheek and she blinked. going to do the same to the female she sticks her tongue out, but having never seen it she stands there, crossing her eyes and staring at it a moment before licking the creature.. Hearing the creature say something she looked up.  She heard the word, ‘Angélique’ Her ears twitch as she tries to think but can’t. instead she lets out a tiny squeak, nudging around on the female, looking for something to snack on.

Zephyra:

Zephyra's mothering instinct took over when she felt the fawn nudge at her. She gently guided the fawn towards her flank. " Over here little one," she said softly, giving Angélique a lick.

Angel:

Angel scooted under the creature and latched on to a teat, suckling greedily. Her eyes closing and her ears pinned back.

Laderic

Watching a moment before slowly getting up, Laderic smiled and Zephyra. Nuzzling her cheek softly before giving their daughter a lick on her back. He stepped away a moment. “I’ll leave you two be for the time.. I’ll patrol this area.”

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as little Angélique began to nurse and she started to lick the fawns coat, drying and cleaning it. She looked at Laderic and smiled when he spoke. "Alright," she said. "We'll stay here a couple days until I feel she's ready to meet the herd."

Angel:

She continued to suckle greedily, her thing flicking from side to side. Her ears pinned back and her eyes closed.

Laderic:

He nodded and smiled, walking away from them to stand guard over them.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled after him as she watched Laderic walk away. She turned back to her daughter with a contented sigh. Their daughter. Their little Angelique. She smiled and gave her filly an affectionate lick. "So you're the one that's been kicking me all winter," she said with a soft chuckle.

Angel:

Angel's ears lifted and she turned her head, looking to the creature with a little bit of milk on her lip. Angels eyes were big as she looked into the eyes of the creature, curious about her.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled and touched her nose to the filly's. "My little Angel," she said softly. Zephyra found herself looking into the filly's eyes, wondering what sort of adventures awaited them. Who this precious little fawn would grown up to be. "Thank you for this gift Adhar," she whispered, her eyes turning to the sky.

Autumn, Year 759 of the New Age

Silvervale, Silverthorne

Starring: Laderic and Zephyra

Laderic:

Laderics ears swiveled round as he walked slowly through the outer edge of the Silverwood, bordering the Silvervale. It was rut time, and like most ruts he watched as other stags fought each other, one losing and bowing his head in disappointment while the other won and arched his neck proudly...

Laderics eyes rolled a bit as he shook his head. He knew that most doe's got excited about rut, but some got really nervous about it. Those doe's he seemed to always stumble upon, their terrified eyes gazing up to his before they scattered away from him, thinking him as a Blackwood. It saddened him really, to be thought of like that, but this rut... It had a different air to it...

An Air of change...

Laderic lifted his head as he gazed out to the Silvervale once more before approaching its tall grasses. His flowing hair flicking and tickling his hide as he walked through the grasses before standing still.. Watching the scenes in front of him..

Doe's being picked into harems and being fought for.. Stags sparring and fighting for the doe's they like... Fawn's be kept away from the Adult's "games" by the elder fawnlings, the fawnlings that were unable to reproduce and partake in such rigorous actions.

He watched.. and waited.. unknowingly waiting for something or someone to approach him.. or to catch his eye.

Zephyra:

Zephyra stood at the edge of the Silvervale, her hind leg cocked back in a almost relaxed pose. Her ears were laid back in slight annoyance as the other does around her giggled and chatted amongst themselves as they looked over the stags to be participating in this year's rut. Zephyra, however, could care less and felt that she would rather be anywhere else except here.

Each year since she had become of breeding age she avoided the rut, going off to be alone with her musings and practicing her fire magic. But this year her father had insisted, more like demanded, that she be present. Her long tail twitched in anger at the memory of their fight that night. She did not want to be here.

It wasn't that she wasn't interested in finding a mate, she just didn't find that much interest in the rut. What was rut but a time for stags to act all stupid and bash their heads together. Other does might swoon at the sight of two stags battling it out for them, she was not impressed by it at all.

She snorted and raised her head up, glancing behind over her shoulder, looking out to where the trees thinned slightly to reveal the grassy fields. The breeze caught her dark mane and pulled at it, beckoning her to come away. Zephyra breathed in the scent of the wind and sighed. They wouldn't miss her if she went off just for a little bit. She glanced back at the herd, her bright brown eyes catching sight of her father sparring with another stag and her mother standing at the edge of the herd with Zephyra's yearling brother at her side, watching with great interest every move his father made. With another quick glance around the herd, Zephyra backed away then turned on her heel to walk away slightly, hoping to not draw attention to herself.

Laderic:

Laderic noted a doe moving away from the herd almost immediately, he paused a moment before looking to the other Soldier who were partaking in rut and rolled his eyes once more before following behind the doe. His steps soft as he carefully tread behind her.

Once she had passed the tree line he spoke out, not in a threatening way, but more of a calm, comforting way.

Don't Like rut?" He asked, so his presence would be known by the doe. He stopped behind her, watching her; looking her over but not in a judgmental way.

His ears flicked forwards as he stood still, watching her to see how much farther she would travel into the forest.

Zephyra:

Zephyra froze mid step at the voice and groaned inwardly. Damn it all! She turned to give some smart mouthed retort but paused when she saw the large, dark colored stag. She looked him over, no fear shining in her eyes. Only a slight curiosity. "I'm afraid not," she said. "It holds little appeal for me. Stags bashing their heads together just to win another doe to add to his collection for the season. " Zephyra shook her head with a snort and turned away. "It's all so very tiring." She glanced back at him. " Don’t you agree? "

Laderic:

Laughing softly Laderic stepped forwards a bit, “I agree indeed.. I find rut… to be quite…. taxing.. Because by spring all the stags are worried about their fawns.. The doe’s the had in harems are feisty and trying to get an unwilling stag to see his fawn… While those few stags who want to see their fawns have so many that they get overwhelmed…” He looked to the doe before speaking again

“Honestly, I have never partook in rut… Ever.” He shrugged a shoulder as he gave her a slight smile before flicking his ears and looking deeper into the forest.

“You should be careful out here miss…” He trailed off having not known her name.. “Forgive me.. I forgot to introduce myself, I’m Laderic, Soldier of Silverthorne.. You are?”

Zephyra:

Zephyra laughed softly when he did. "Yes, well, I for one wish not to be seen as nothing more than a brood doe," she said, her chin lifting in stubborn defiance as she spoke. However, she felt herself soften as he revealed he had never participated in the rut before. Perhaps he wasn't like the others.

Zephyra followed his gaze out towards forest and scoffed at his words of caution. Logic knew that she should take his words to heart, especially now that the rut was upon them, but she was too stubborn and spirited to listen.

She had heard the king's proclamation earlier that year, her father had made sure of it given how she liked to wander off. Zephyra didn't really care about what the king said or her father, or any other stag for that matter. She was loyal to her herd and wouldn't ever dream of leaving. She just liked to be one her own where she could be herself without being judged and forced to remain proper like the other does.

Zephyra glanced at him and smiled genuinely when he introduced himself. "I am Zephyra," she said. " Aspiring firebringer. Or at least I hope to be."

Laderic:

He lifted an eyebrow at her when she laughed, but instead of being curious he smiled a bit at that, he was glad to have made her laugh. Noting her difiancy he spoke again “If I were ever to take a doe, even for just rut, I would treat as if she were a princess doe.. Even though she may not be my mate.” He spoke softly, his ears pricked when she spoke her name.

“What a Lovely name Miss Zephyra, and Firebringer! I wish you the best of luck with that Ma’am.” He smiled and bowed his head in respect before lifting it and looking to her. Shifting his weight on his hooves he leaned back a bit, his neck arching and his muscles relaxed, but he was still alert for anything that may put the doe into danger.

Zephyra:

Zephyra suddenly found herself sighing inwardly at his words, a soft smile coming to her face as she tucked her head almost shyly. Oh gods, what was coming over her. She was acting like a love struck yearling. She shook her head to clear her mind and looked at him.

"Thank you, " she said, her voice cracking as she tried to keep it normal. Hopefully he didn't notice. She watched him a moment as they stood there. She did have to admit he was handsome. She turned her gaze back to the forest and she was silent for a moment. She then shifted her weight and looked back to him.

"There is a stream not far from here," she said softly. " It flows down from the mountains. It's always very cool and pleasant to taste. Would.... you care to accompany me Laderic? "

Laderic:

Smiling Laderic, “Of course M’lady.. You lead the way.” He bowed his head again, stepping a bit closer but enough distance it wouldn’t be uncomfortable for her. His tail flicked a little bit as he looked down to her, not in a rude or distasteful way, but because she was smaller than him.

He watched her from the corner of his eye, how she had seemingly relaxed in his presence, how she seemed, shyer.. He was starting to grow somewhat shy himself, but was hiding it as best he could.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled at him and started walking off, one ear flicking in his direction. As they walked a awkward silence came over her, which was unusual. Where she always knew what to say or at least think of something to say, she now couldn't think of a single thing.

"So," she said, trying to start a conversation. Grian's breath it shouldn't be this hard to talk. She shook her head again to clear her mind before continuing. "You say you're a soldier? What sort of tasks do you do? My father was more of a scout really, patrolling the territory."

Laderic:

Laderic looked to her and smiled “Well currently I patrol as well, But I’ve done defense of the King, say when the king went along the  borders a few of us would go with him, Including one of his Generals..” He smiled “When I was much much younger and not as large, I was a messenger. But as of now I am a borders patrolman. Though sometimes when it’s not my turn to patrol, the doe’s of the herd give me the task of watching the fawns..” He smirked softly, thinking of those times he had to watching the bouncing balls of hair and hooves.

“And you’re an aspiring firebringer? How much training have you done?”

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as she listened to him, becoming more relaxed as they went. Her smile deepened at the image of him looking after a bunch of fawns. She felt a warmth grow inside her at the thought of having a fawn of her own. It felt... strange.

Her ears flicked when he asked about her training. "Well, my father has taught me some," she said turning her head slightly so she could take more directly to him. " I can make start a fire and hold it for maybe a few minutes. I can scorch patterns in the ground...." One of her favorite past times. "... but I'm not that strong. Sometimes I can control the flames and other times I can't." Her head lowered head and her ears drooped as if she were embarrassed. "I... actually accidentally caused a wildfire a couple years ago. Needless to say the herd wasn't too happy with me."

Laderic:

Blinking a moment he grinned, “That was you! Wow… I have to say that fire grew quickly.. I thought an Actual firebringer accidentally did it.” He smiled a bit, “You at the same level as me.. i’m not that good.. I can control flame, Start it.. And I can burn my enemies if need be.. But I’m not at the level of advancement as the Firebringers are..” He looked to her and his ears cocked to the side a bit.

Leaning over he lightly nudged her cheek in a comforting way, as if to non-verbally to raise her head, “I wouldn’t be embarrassed about it.. Though we we’re eventually able to get the fire under control it was a good flame for a low level.

He blinked, stepping back slightly when he realized he had nudged her cheek, his ears folded back slightly “Sorry….” He mumbled.

Zephyra:

A sheepish grin tugged at her lips as he spoke, almost complimenting her. Those weren't the words her father had said. In fact he had been quite furious with her. "Yeah," she said. "I was attempting to create a small flame twister but it got out of my control. "

When he leaned over and lightly nudged her cheek Zephyra froze, not knowing what to do. She felt warmth grow inside her again at his touch. She blinked as she shifted her weight slightly. "It's... okay," she said softly. She looked up at him, watching him. Slowly she smiled and her brown eyes softened. She stepped forward, reached her head up and nuzzled his neck since she couldn't reach his cheek.

Laderic:

Looking down he smiled softly, almost shyly, “Incredible….” He spoke softly, before looking up to the sky a bit then back down to her, almost as if he were coaching himself to do something. Speaking again softly, “Uhm… Where is this uh.. Stream you spoke of?” He asked, a slight stutter interrupting him before clearing as he looked to her.

Zephyra:

Zephyra gazed up at him before tucking her head, once again unable to find anything to say. When he finally spoke, asking her about the stream, she smiled.

"Its not far," she said. She looked ahead of them and nodded her head. "About half a mile that way." She glanced back at him, a glint of fire shining in her eyes. "Want to race?"

Laderic:

Grinning back at her, a different fire in his eyes he spoke, “Your on..” He turned in the direction she looked towards and bowed his head down. Looking at her out of the corner of his eye.

“On my count…”

His ears flicked back as he looked ahead before glancing to her,

“One……...Two…….THREE!” He spoke out starting their race.

Zephyra:

Zephyra grinned back at him in excitement. She shook her mane and pawed the ground as they squared off to run, her heart feeling giddy and light.

When he said three she lept into a full gallop, laughing as she ran. Her hooves were light and airy, hardly touching the ground as she bounded through the trees.

She laughed and glanced back to see if he was still racing with her.

Laderic:

Laderic ran after her, his hooves making heavy thuds as they hit the ground as his galloped after her. His manes and feathering were blowing out behind him black black tendrils of smoke as he laughed out. Though he was fast she was faster, he was a full tails length behind her as they raced.

Honestly he was hoping she would win, he didn’t like beating doe’s. Made him feel wrong. But he was actually trying and boy was she fast!

Zephyra:

Zephyra laughed as they ran through the trees. Soon the stream came into view ahead of them and she slowed slightly so that they were racing side by side by the time the reached it. She slowed to a stop as they reached the bank and turned to him still laughing. "That was fun," she said.

Laderic:

Slowing down Laderic looked at her with a hearty laugh, “Yeah it was… Doubt I could run like that again though.” He lowered his head a moment shaking out his manes before lifting his head once more to look to her. She had a sparkle in her eye that showed her happiness and that made him smile..

Looking down to the stream he slowly walked forwards and lowered his head to the cool water, taking some into his mouth as he drank it before looking back to her with a smile.

Zephyra:

Zephyra breathed a sigh as she caught her breath and lowered her head to drink from the stream. When she was done she looked back up at him, her eyes meeting his.

Laderic:

He shifted his weight awkwardly before clearing his throat a moment… “So… Miss Zephyra… Are you uhm… Seeking any stags this rut?” His ears were flicked back a bit as he looked to her, trying his hardest to hide his nervousness, but he knew there were signs of it showing blatantly through.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled softly at him when he spoke. "Just Zephyra," she said. " There's no need for such formalities and titles. " She looked away and was silent for a moment, as if she were thinking about what she was going to say next. "Originally I wasn't intending on participating in the rut at all." She looked up at him. " But the was one stag that caught my eye."

Laderic:

Laderic smiled and nodded to her request before his eyes widen softly to her answer to his question.

He thought for a moment before speaking in a slightly nervous slightly calm manner, “And say what if this stag asked you to be his doe for this rut? What would you say?” His ears push forwards as he watches Zephyra, his warm golden brown eyes searching hers for any answer that she may give him.

Zephyra:

Zephyra was silent for a moment, as if she were nervous about the answer herself. Finally she took a deep breath and looked back into his eyes, trying to keep her voice calm and steady as she spoke. " I would say yes, " she said.

Laderic:

Laderic smiled and asked softly as he could. “Zephyra… Would you like to be my doe for rut this season?” His heart was pounding against his ribcage as he asked that, hoping the shyness that showed in his heart didn’t show in his eyes.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled softly and stepped closer to him, her tail raising and swishing gently. "Yes," she said softly. " I would like to be your doe."

Laderic:

Laderics heart seemed to swell as he leaned in and lightly nuzzled her cheek. “Thank you Zephyra, For accepting my offer… And to be willing to have a fawn of my siring.”

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled as he nuzzled her cheek. "You are a good stag," she said softly as she nuzzled his cheek back. "You are noble and strong and kind. Far better than those empty headed stags back at the herd. Any doe would consider herself lucky to carry your fawn. And, while I don't normally like to agree with them, I do."

Laderic:

He laughed softly, “You yourself are a fine doe..” He murmured, watching her closely. “Let’s stay here for the night, Shall we?” He asked, looking into her beautiful eyes.

Zephyra:

Zephyra laughed back. "Then you'd be the first to think," she said. " My father always said I was too spirited and outspoken for a proper doe of Silverthorne. And a few of the other stags have said the same." She smiled as she looked up at him. "I think that is a lovely idea."

Laderic:

“Proper Doe’s can be quite boring” He chuckled. Smiling he nuzzled her again. “Let me know when you are ready Zephyra” He spoke softly.

Zephyra:

Zephyra smiled at his words and nuzzled into him. "Alright," she said softly. She reached up and gave him a soft lick on the cheek. She turned and walked towards the trees, her tail raised and swaying gently from side to side in flirtatious invitation. She glanced over her shoulder and bat her eyes at him.

Laderic:

Laderic grinned, feeling the effects of the rut as he followed her into the trees for the night of being primitive beasts.

Time Skip to the Next Morning

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yawning Laderic laid curled around Zephyra, his flowing hair draped across her almost like a cover as he started to awaken. The memories of the previous night lingering in his mind.
Zephyra:
Zephyra's breathing quickened slightly as she slowly started to awaken. Her eyes fluttered open and her mind wandered back to memories of last night. It almost felt as if had been a dream, but she knew it wasn't. She could still smell the stag laying curled around her. Slowly she lifted her head, blinking the sleep from her eyes.
Laderic:
Laderics eyes opened as he felt Zephyra stirr. Looking down to the doe that laid with him he spoke softly “Good Morning Zephyra.” His tail lightly moved from covering her, the long hair laid around them. “How did you sleep?”
Zephyra:
Zephyra looked back up at him and smiled softly. "Good morning Laderic," she said. "I slept pretty well. And you? How did you sleep?"
Laderic:
“Quite Well thank you.” Laderic smiled and nuzzled her cheek softly, slowly starting to try and stand, still working the kinks out of his muscles from laying like that most of the night. He looked to her and tilted his head. “How do you feel?”
Zephyra:
Zephyra smiled as he nuzzled her cheek before slowly getting to her feet. "I feel fine," she said softly. "Though I also feel.... different somehow. "
Laderic:
Standing Laderic furrowed his brow slightly, “Good Different or Bad Different?” He looked her over with a worried look.
Zephyra:
Zephyra looked down, thinking. "I don't know," she said looking back to him. " But I think it's a good different. " She stepped closer and gave him a gentle lick on the cheek.
Laderic:
Nodding Laderic nuzzled her, his ears back as he thought quietly to himself. His first rut... With a beautiful doe... He wondered if they would have a fawn.. What gender would it be? What color? He thought quietly to himself as he and Zephyra returned to the herd.
Spring, Year 759 of the New Age
Location: , Silverthorne, SilverVale
Featuring; Soliel, Ixen, and Syn
Ixen:
“Ooooh” Ixen’s eyes widen as he looks at the pretty butterflies that landed on the tip of his nose, his eyes crossing so he could focus on it. His attention was short lived but when he wanted to see something he would start intently at it for ages.. And thats what it felt like to him as he watched the butterfly slowly flap its wings as it stared right back at him.
But before too long he watched it lift off into the air. “No! Wait!” He calls out, starting to run after it, he wanted to ask it its name. Since he never could the last time he saw such a pretty butterfly. He didn’t know that he was going farther and farther away from his grazing mother, Soliel His little hooves carried him farther and farther away from her before he realized he had left her sight. “Oh no..” His mind bickers at him, telling to turn back, and go back from where he came,. but where was that? Looking around his little brow starts to furrow as his head tilts as he tries to listen for any sign of his mother. But Can’t.
“Momma?!” He calls, searching with his eyes for the pretty coat of his mother, but not seeing it. “MOMMA??!!!” He calls louder, hoping she will hear him.
Syn:
Syn lifted his face up to the sky. It was a beautiful day, and Syn was happy to finally be off from his patrol. He could finally enjoy some time to himself and could sit in loving stare of Grian. Syn continued down through the forest path that he knew would lead him the the shining grass field. Syn’s favourite place, both full of great memories and heart wrenching ones. Memories of a golden doe that now slowly started to creep behind his eyes making his chest speeze with grief. Why did she destroy everything they had created together? Even to this day the pain still ached and he swore to never love and trust a doe like that again, he could not handle this kind of pain a second time. He was so wrapped up in his thoughts he didn’t notice the new change of scenery until he was already surrounded by the golden grass that gently blew in the breeze. A faint cry broke the silence of the quiet meadow, making Syn perk his ears up. Had he heard correctly? No her heard it again but louder. Syn quickly gathered himself and took off in the direction of the voice. It was a distressed fawn he knew for sure and he only prayed to the gods he could reach the fawn in time before another, more unwelcoming predator does.
Ixen:
Ixen whimpers, this wasn’t the first time he had let himself get distracted, nor would it be the last time. But what made it worse was that he didn’t know where he was. his Mother and him stuck to the Silverwood more than ever. this was the first time he had been in this part of Silverthorne without his Mother… Or more so anyone else.
“Momma?” He sees a shape making the grass sway up ahead of him, squinting he tries to see who it is. It looked kind of like another fawnling. But he couldn’t be too sure. Creeping towards the shape he hunkers down slightly. Peering between the long blades of grass, his semi-golden coat helping him blend in slightly. Only slightly. The shape was to large to be his Mother… And too large to be a…. what was it?? Oh yes! A Cave Lion! His ears perk up more as he calls out, “HELLO!??”
Syn:
Syn’s feet pounded to the beat of his heart which echoed in his head along with the chant he repeated over and over to himself. Run faster, save the fawn. He pushed himself harder and harder, he would not let this fawn die today, he promised to the gods, knowing how naive that sounded. He heard the fawn call out again but this time to say, hello. Has the fawn seen me? No the fawn could not have, Syn thought with a slight frown. Then perhaps the fawn was not alone, a sprout of relief wedged itself into Syn at that thought but he still did not slow his pace. He had to make sure the fawn and whoever was with him was safe. As he reached the rise, his hope was crushed. The fawn was not alone that was for sure. but now Syn had wished he was. The stupid fawn was calling out towards a cave lion and was trotting towards it willingly. Where was his mother his mind cried out.  But he did not have time to search for her at the moment, he could only hope that she was not dead. Syn rushed over the hill, calling out to the fawn with a strong voice despite his slight panic, “Come away from that lion kid!”. He pumped his legs looking dead straight at the creeping cat, who now saw the coming stag and decided to try his chance at the fawn. Leaping forward the cat ran straight for the innocent fawn. Syn’s heart sunk but he was almost to the young fawn’s side…
Ixen:
Ixens shriek was loud as he sees the deadly fangs of the cave lion leaping towards him. He backs up quickly before leaping out of the path of the Lion. Hearing the voice of an unfamiliar stag he knows that he might be saved. But right now all that he could concentrate on was not dying..His legs stretch wide in front of him as he runs as fast as he can towards the Stag, hoping to the gods that the stag was a nice stag and apart of his herd.
Hearing thudding of the large paws of the lion chasing after him he pushes himself to run faster, his legs still way to unsteady for him to be any faster than he already is. His thoughts are spinning round and round as he tries to comprehend what is happening., but can’t because of the adrenaline running through his small veins. ‘Faster… Come on FASTER!’ His mind shrieks at him as he climbs the hill up to the stag, the lion still close behind him.
Syn:
The once realizing the threat, the fawn finally took off away from the chasing lion towards him. As the fawn was running he almost looked like he was about to fall over, if he did, the cat would surely reach him first. But with the luck from the gods, he kept his pace and didn’t trip. Syn raced down the hill and as the fawn reached him, Syn jumped over him. Landing with a huge thud in front of the large cat. The cat looked at him with surprise in his eyes but didn’t have time to react to dodge Syn’s front hooves come crashing down on him. Syn flared with satisfaction as his hooves connected with flesh and as the cat released cry of anguish. The cat jumped to his side clawing out at him catching him on his hind leg but Syn didn’t feel the pain, his only thought was to chase the cat as far away from the fawn as possible. Syn kicked out at the cat but this time it was more prepared and jumped out of the way. Syn spun around and charged the cat to chase it away from the fawn, pounding the ground with his hooves and thrashing his tail aggressively the cat thought better and decided this meal was not worth the fight. The cat took off towards the forest with Syn charging at his heels. Once the cats disappeared into the bushes Syn trotted around to return to the fawn. After searching a bit through the grass he found the exhausted fawn, panting on the ground. Syn stood there for who knows how standing by the fawn protectively. Once his adrenaline drained, relief spread through him at the fawn’s safety and he looked to the skies murmuring his prayers of thanks. Then looked down at the fearful fawn, Syn didn’t even think that the fawn might look at him as a threat too. “It’s alright little fawn, you are safe. I won’t bring you any harm.” Syn said calmly to the fawn. Before leaning down to nudge the fawn up again, “Now let’s find your mother.”
Ixen:
Ixen blinks in amazement, standing on wobbly legs he continues to look to where the stag had chased the Lion away. ‘Woah...’  Looking to the stag he speaks up, puffing out his chest slightly, but still looks like an itty bitty thing. “That was AWESOME! I wasn’t scared… And neither were you… were you?” He  grins his tail swishing from side to side as he grins.
“Mom-” He stops mid word as he realizes his mother didn’t see that happen. “Do you know where my Momma could be Mister..?” He trails off not knowing who the stag was, or more so where the stag was from.
“Who are you??? Are you Silverthorne?” He asks cautiously, his big brown eyes starting to have the dark tint of worry on them.
Syn:
Syn couldn’t help but smile as the tiny fawn puffs out his chest and tries to pull off not being scared. Despite his close death experience the fawn seemed, well, quite happy and healthy. Fawns.. Syn always was amazed at their exuberance and stupidity. “Yes, I was scared, but all the best soldiers have a bit of fear going into battle. It helps them make rational thoughts, and fear should never be ashamed of unless you let it rule you.” Syn said seriously at the fawn. “I don’t know where your mother is but we shall find her in due time.” At the fawn’s next question Syn lifted his head, “Yes I am part of Silverthorne, and am known as General Syn.” Syn started to walk off stopping to look back to make sure the fawn was following, “ Now follow, and tell me what you can remember of your surroundings when you last were with your mother.”
Ixen:
Ixen was easily trotting beside him, his long gangly legs lifting with tired ease. He wasn’t used to running THAT hard. But it was to save his life soooo Meh. “It’s nice to meet you Sir.” Ixen says politely, he did remember his manners after all. His Mother made sure of that. His Momma… Where could she be? Hearing the Generals question he stops slightly, his brow furrowed in thought…”Well…..” He blinks and starts to follow the General again “We were in.. this big area.. uhm I think she called it...the Silvervale… Near the uhmm…” He thinks again before his face lighten up when he remembers. “The Silverstone River!” He looks up at the stag… He looked familiar… Like he was one of the guys that was with his Dad a lot…  “Are you friends with the King?” He asks, being a little bit nosey, since he didn’t know his father.. only stories about him.. And only seeing his father from a distance.
Syn:
Syn was again surprised with the fawn being able to keep pace despite that exhausting run. Ah, finally a fawn with manners, Syn thought. He has met too many that have been raised without them. As the fawn stopped with concentration with his question, Syn only hope that the fawn could give him any useful information that could giveaway the location of his mother. Syn listened to the fawnling every word, smiling once he had a better idea where she could be, “Good job son, we should be able to find her soon.” Syn started to walk again until the fawn spoke up again, gosh this fawn asks a lot of questions. “Yes, as General I work with the King on a regular basis, why do you ask?” Syn then continued to walk towards the Silverstone River, hoping the fawn won’t stop again.
Ixen:
Continuing to follow the General he asks, “Well.. Is he nice? What’s his favorite things to do?” He rambles on, “He’s my Dad… And my Big Brother is his First son with my Momma.. Soliel!” Ixen prances forwards a little bit so that he’s ahead of Syn, turning he stands in Syn’s way, looking at him with big brown eyes as his tail swishes from side to side happily. The growing hair making slight tangles as he enthusiastically swishes his tail. “My Big Brother is said to be really really pale, Like my Momma. And I’m supposed to be kind of dark like My Daddy’s Momma and a Mix of my Daddy and my Momma… Is that true have you ever met the kings Mother?” He blinks before grinning, “Was she pretty? Did you like her?  Do you have a Mate? I like butterflies don’t you!?”
Syn:
Syn looked up to the gods, why where they punishing him? He saved the fawns life didn’t he? Or does that mean he should not have he thought with a smirk. Syn pretended to not have heard the annoying fawn until the fawn then went ahead of him and stopped, staring up at him rambling on about his family. Syn flicked his ears back with annoyance but kept patience with him and decided to answer the fawns questions which will hopefully quench his curiosity. “Yes, he is nice, I don’t know what his favourite things to do, maybe burning little annoying fawns, how interesting, no I have not met his mother, but have seen her and yes she is pretty, no I don’t have a mate because I don’t want annoying little fawns asking me a bunch of questions all the time, and never gave much thought to them, though am guessing that is how you became alone.” Each question and each answer making Syn more and more tired and desperate to get this fawn home. After finally answering, he side stepped the fawn and went into a trot so he could not get in front again. He heard the fawnling going off again as he followed but Syn kept silent, until he had a great idea. “Hey um-fawn” Syn didn’t know his name but didn’t want to ask in case it set off for more questions, “Let’s play a game, called the silent game. Whoever can stay silent the longest wins, okay?”
Ixen:
”My name isn’t Um Fawn! It’s Ixen! I-ZEN! GET IT RIGHT!” The scrawny thing of a Fawn said, angrily before his eyes widen as he grins, going silent so he can beat the stag. ‘That would be so cool! Braggin to Nierka that I beat a stag at a game… ooooh won’t she be jealous.. And Momma! Oooh! And Ezekiel!’ Ixen’s mind races as he starts to mentally chatter to himself, being eerily silent.
He trots faster to keep up with the General, his big eyes glancing this way and that as he looks for his Momma. Though you could tell he was starting to get sad because his ears started to slowly make their way down to a folded position against his head and neck.Where could she be…? I mean.. I saw her…. I don’t know how long it’s been since I saw her...’ His looking starts to become slightly more frantic as he also tries to keep silent. Always wanting to win at a game, but also.. he wants to find his Momma.
Syn:
As expected the fawn corrects his name, but Syn almost feels like his name is familiar. Syn grins when the fawn goes silent and relishes in the perfection that is the silence. As they made their way closer to the river Syn had to keep checking to make sure he was still there,  the fawns constant talking did help Syn keep track of where he was, Syn thought with a frown. Each time Syn took a peek at him he started to notice a sadness growing in him, it was probably the longest time the fawn was away from his mother and Syn still felt the ache of losing his mother so he could relate. Syn only hoped the fawns mother was safe, no fawn should go without their mother. Growing a bit soft for the fawn he decides to stop the game to distract the fawn, it must be hard for the talkative fawn to be with his thoughts in this situation, “ So, Ixen. Are you excited to tell your mother about how you won against the cave lion?” He said with a wink to the fawn.
Ixen (Adding in Soliel):
Ixens’ eyes widen as he looks up at the General, grinning broadly he says “Haha! You lost your own game!” Sudden realization hits Ixen then “OH SWEET BUTTERFLIES! I won a game against a GENERAL!” He starts to bounce up and down happily, his thick shaggy fur bouncing with him as he lets out laughs and snorts of glee. He then stares at the General again, puffing out his chest again like he did earlier. “It was a piece of fern, Beating that Lion. I could do it with my front legs tied down!” He boasts, his head held high and proud.
Soliel looks around with a soft sigh, ‘That boy is going to kill me...’ She groans, wandering around the area on the other side of the Silverstone River, noticing the plentiful amounts of butterflies there were she smirks a little whispering “Ixen you silly child… You’re butterfly people will be here for years to come…” Her ears flick forwards as she looks around, seeing younger smaller fawns from the other does, but not her very scraggly yearling son. Her long tail flicks another time as she goes to the water to look down it’s banks to see if she sees him. Before turning back around. Seeing the shape of a stag and a fawn next to him. ‘I wonder if thats them… if it is… I feel bad for that stag…’ She smiles a small smile before going back to her own emotionless look as she slowly walks towards the two shapes.
Syn:
Syn once again smiled at the odd fawn as he bounced around him, snorting and giggling. Syn was just happy to get the fawns mind off of his mother for now. At the fawns boastful comment Syn surprised himself but letting out a chuckle, “I am sure you will be a fine soldier someday.” Syn quickly sobered up as they came up to a rise of a hill, seeing a small herd of fawnlings. Hoping the fawn’s mother was there, he looked down at the fawn next to him, “I will race you to that herd over there.” Syn never was one to like fawns but there was something about this fawn that he liked even if Ixen could completely annoy Syn with his questions that could make him want to bash his head off a tree…
Ixen:
Ixen grins and crouches down slightly, his little rump pointed to the sky as he grins at the General. His tail curls upwards as he gets ready to leap forward. “On your Mark Mister General Syn Sir!” He grins his ears folded half back as he gets this competitive look in his eyes.
Soliel notices the two shapes are closer now, and one was definitely a fawn. 'please be Ixen… Please Be Ixen….’ Her mind murmurs to itself as she watches them, being cautious like always at the unfamiliar shapes. Her tail flicks again as she stops her movements, noticing how the two shapes were stopped and preparing to… run..?
Syn:
“Okay, go!” Syn says, stopping to let the fawn get a head start before following him at a trot. Though with his bigger strides he was not far behind the young fawn. Syn looked up from the prancing fawn to see a doe up ahead, staring at them intently. I hope she is his mother or can at least help us find her, Syn thought. Syn returned his glance at Ixen and waited to see if the fawn recognized any of these doe’s as his mother.
Ixen:
Ixen leaps forwards, running swiftly down the hill; but he had been running a lot so his legs weren’t as strong as they were as his knees buckle, causing him to roll down the rest of the hill with a loud burst of laughter.
Soliel watched the fawn tumble and grins; knowing for sure that was Ixen. “IXEN!” She calls out in a loud but soft voice, the ears of the fawn raise as he looks at her and grins. “MOMMA!” He cries getting up quickly and dashing to her, running right into her and falling over. Smiling Soliel licks his forehead and whispers, “Did you ask the butterflies name?” Ixen shakes his head no and sighs softly before grinning and tugging at her mane to have her follow him to meet the Stag that had helped him.
Syn:
As Ixen buckles and rolls the rest of the way down the hill, Syn picks up his pace to reach him. Concern spread through Syn as he heard what he thought were the cries of pain only realize it was laughter from the fawn. Syn blew out a sigh of relief as the fawn jumps back up and races to a doe, calling momma. Oh thank the gods, they found her her with her and her fawn were safe. As they reunite, Syn turned to leave thinking they were done, but stopped once he noticed Ixen leading his mother towards him.
Ixen:
Soliel follows Ixen, not because he was painfully tugging on her mane, but because she wanted to thank whoever it was who brought her son back to her safe and sound. Ixen releases his mothers mane as he looks up at General Syn. “Syn! Syn! This is my Momma.. Momma this is General Syn!” He says enthusiastically.
Starting to say thank you Soliel is cut off by the enthusiastic Ixen as he boasts, “Momma! Me and Syn defeated a cave lion! And I beat Syn at his own game! I beat a General Momma!” Soliel laughs and nuzzles his forehead. “Good for you sweetheart.” She smiles before looking up to Syn. “Thank you so much for rescuing my Ixen.. He and Ezekiel are all I have left. Is there any way I could show my thanks?” She asks, Ixen crawling underneath her and laying down in the shade of her body.
Syn:
Syn smiled at the boasting fawn, “Yes he did most of the work I was just there to bring him home.” He said giving a wink to the mother. “No problem, it was my pleasure to help. And just having you and him safe is thanks enough.” Seeing the fawn back with his mother gave him the picture of what he was missing. A mate with a fawn, both of which he had lost. Sadness started to ache within him as his thoughts of them returned. “Ah, Ezekiel, I remember him, a fine soldier, he is lucky to have you two.” Syn smiled sadly.
Soliel:
Noticing a Sadness about General Syn now Soliel tilts her head slightly. “Did you lose a fawn? You seem upset General Syn…” Her brow furrows as she looks at him, “Would you like to talk about it?” That was Ixen’s cue to go and play with the other fawns, his lanky body bouncing and running as the fawns play.
Syn:
Syn was surprised at the doe’s show of concern and Syn didn’t know how to respond. It was the General’s job to make sure everyone was well, not the other way around. But perhaps it wouldn’t hurt to share, she seemed genuinely concerned and he knew for sure he needed to get some things off his chest.  “I thank you for your concern but I couldn’t let you share my burdens.” Syn said casting his eyes down, hoping that she would still be interested.
Soliel:
Looking at him, concern in her eyes she speaks in a soft voice, the voice of a caring Mother. “Please. Let me hear.. Maybe I could offer a word of advice? Ever single Fawnling, both doe, stag, and even the fawns they bear has gone through something different and something alike. I might be able to help if I should only know.” Her ears are half laid back as her voice is quiet, so only he may be the one to hear her. Her eyes glance towards the small group of fawns huddled around Ixen as he demonstrates how he had “defeated” the Cave Lion.
Syn:
There was something about this doe that Syn knew he could trust, he could see something in her that was harden but despite it still came out a caring doe. Syn have a curt nod and with sigh shared his thoughts, “ I had a mate… she was my love.. my life.. we had been friends since we were young fawns. When she.. left.. She was quite heavy with our fawn.. I was going to be the proud father to a fawn of one of my best friends… that would have the perfect story for us… But when she left, she left to Blackwood. Carrying our unborn child in her on that long trip. I had missed her greatly, wondering where she could have been, why didn’t she tell me she was leaving, or better yet.. Who did she go see? I even thought she had died at some points.. Wondering if It was my Fault she had left… But then after my mourning period had started to fade, myself trying to move on, she returned. But she returned with no fawn at her side, and was telling me… that it had died on the trip back.. Died! I never even got to see it’s big eyes staring up at me.. or even be a true father… She broke my heart..” The pain of the whole experience clutched Syn’s heart and could bring him to his knees, speaking again Syn looks at Soliel with eyes that could break the strongest of hearts they were so sad “When she had come back. She betrayed me.. showing that she was denying that she had even loved me by mating with King Skuldafn… I was torn in two, for my duty to this herd.. and for the feelings I still had for her.” Syn had never said these words to another fawnling and was not sure if he would regret it later.
Soliel:
Soliel looks at Syn with sad eyes. “As I said we all have our sad stories.. I know how it hurts to have your heart broken… but mine in a different way..” Soliel looks down at the ground before looking up at Syn. “My parents we’re at their prime when they had me. My father a Golden stag, his rack one of the largest Silverthorne had seen at the time. My Mother was one of the most beautiful doe’s in the herd.  But she was infertile. Big time. She and my father had been trying and trying for a baby, but one would never come. Even then, when she would get pregnant she would wake up in the night, screaming in pain because her body would kill off the fawn… They never told the herd… They knew that they would be despised of. So everytime the fawn would die the next season they would try again.. Well after the third fawn of their dying early they conceived me.. I was luck… I was the strongest fetus of them all… My Father was soo happy with my mother that he vowed to never mate with the other females of his harems ever again. And he stayed true to his word. But he wanted a colt.” Her ears twitch slightly as her head turns so she could look over at her son before returning her attention to Syn. “The day I was born my mother had been in great pain for many many hours. And my father was worried that I might become a still born. But his worries were soon over when he had come into the birthing glade. But his hope for a colt was crushed when he saw me.. A little girl.. He hated me from the moment he saw me. And the fact my Mother started to protect me from his hurtful words and his hurtful kicks and shoves made him down right hate her too.” Soliel straightened her shoulders as you looks at Syn, her once caring looking starting to disappear as she recalls her past. “As I was getting older and older, stronger and stronger, my father got even worse. When he had his rack he would charge at me, trying to fatally impale me. But my Mother always got in the way.. Taking his blows and returning with her own, even though they were weak. One day, when I had started to mature, not yet my first season but getting quite close, My parents got into the argument of a lifetime.” Soliel’s tail flicks slightly in agitation before her body goes still again, “My parts were up near the mountains, away from the herd so no one would hear their fighting or see my father charge my mother. But that's when I heard it.. The scream.. I knew who it was, it was my Mother.. She was falling. Thats the last I saw of her, her golden coat matted with something dark..” Soliel stops for a moment to gather herself, her body relaxing only slightly as her eyes focused back onto Syn. “My father later Committed suicide. Jumping off the same point that he had pushed my mother off of. But.. that all had changed me….” Her ears push forwards as she returns to her calm stature. “Syn.. We all have our heart wrenching moments.. But we’ve got to overcome them.. I know it must hurt to see her and feel that she had the fawn of the one you are sworn to protect, and I know it must hurt to know that your fawn never made it to see you. But! Theres always the good side to everything, you will find another doe, someone you can trust, and someone you can love. And she will bear your offspring and you will be a happy father and a happy General.” Soliel gives Syn a soft smile. “I overcame my fears and my sadness, and I have two sons, Bellator and Ixen, and I have even gotten a mate. Things will go for the better. I promise.” Soliel gives him another smile, before turning her attention to watch her son, boasting to the mothers of his friends about how he was a brave colt and defeated a cave lion.
Syn:
Her words were as soothing as a mothers and slowly started to calm him, though when she told her story he grew hatred at how a stag could treat his family such a way. She had survived through such grief for most of her life and yet she grew up as beautiful and kind as ever. ‘I will pull strength from this doe and use it to move past this grief of my own.’ Syn moved closer to the doe and they stood silently together, both watching the young Ixen show off. Syn smirked, perhaps the is always hope for how could such a healthy, annoying, loving fawn still be so happy coming from such dark past.
SOLIEL:
‘It was time…’ The thought ran through Soliels mind as she looks to the herd. Other females were there, the males walking around and conversing with each other and the females. She flicks her long feathery tail and separates herself from the herd, glad that she was almost like a golden ghost.
    Her eyes are not scared, she had gone through this once she can go through it again. She slowly makes her way from the plains into the Silverwood, the trees reminding her of when she met with the father of the fawn; Skuldafn. Her large ears flick black as she walks slowly, taking her time, knowing the baby will come when he wants to. With a grunt she steps over some fallen tree branches, heading towards some boulders that are above a small little area. Perfect size for birthing a baby.
Laying down on her side slightly, her large belly is almost like a peak against the thin-ish body of the doe. Her hooves scrape into the ground and kick hard as she lets out a small cry of pain. Her eyes squeezing shut as she feels moisture spread across her plot, knowing truly it was time. She lets out another cry of pain, this pain worse than before as the fawn starts to come. Her belly heaves slightly as she pushes, kicking her front legs forwards and digging the hooves into the ground.
    “GAAAAH!” She screams, the fawn sliding from her with some hesitation. She turns slightly, looking at the blood and other juices that came out with the fawn before looking at the fawn. She starts licking and chewing mucus that stuck to the little boy. His big brown eyes fluttering open as Soliel whispers “Welcome to the world Ixen…” She smiles standing weakly and watching him figure out how to stand.
    IXEN:
    The tomb that entrapped his body was getting so cramped. Too cramped…. “LET ME FREE!” his mind screams and he twists and turns, kicking with his hooves and legs. Finally he hears muffled screams and loud grunts as he slides from the tomb. The light blinds his sensitive eyes as he looks to the woman who bore him.
    Her tongue licking his ruffled coat as she speaks to him. “Welcome to the world Ixen.” Ixen… is that his name? He wonders before seeing her get even larger. He notices how she does it and tries to mimic her, his bulky legs shaking as he raises up from the ground.
    Wobbling he steps forwards to nudge her with his nose before looking under her and starting to nurse, his tail flicking as he nurses.
The doe and the fawn from Silverthorne we in complete peace as that moment started their bond.
OMG HES HERE! THE LITTLE HANDSOME FELLA IS HERE! ~FLAILS~ :D
Autumn, Year 757 of the New Age
Silverthorne, The Silverwood
---Soliel:
Twigs snap underneath her hooves as she runs. 'Run.....' is her only thought to herself as she runs for her life, hoping not to be caught by their large mountain lion. Screaming she hopes someone would hear her, anyone!! Stumbling her leg buckles underneath her as she trips, the lunging Cougar lunges right over her at the same moment she hits the ground. "Woah..." she breathes as the mountain lion keeps running, never noticing that she had fallen. Standing on shaky legs she looks around to see if anyone had even thought to come help her. She looks around, completely lost within the Silverwood forest. She tilts her head and flicks her long tail, the snake like thing raising high and swirling in a mass of light grey and white feathers. "Hello?" Calling out to anyone.
---Skuldafn:
Patrolling as he usually did, things had seemed to be quiet in the Silverwood - unnaturally quiet for rut. Normally the forests were alive with the sounds of courting stags and clashing antlers - even at the most random times of days, but tonight he heard nothing but the sounds of a few insects and the soft steps of his hooves against the crunching autumn leaves.
As he strode through the forest, a sound rung out against the silence - a familiar sound. No, it wasn't just a sound, it was a voice - a familiar voice. Looking around, he had only heard the voice like a faint whisper, too quick to place its direction.
"Is someone out there" he called out, but like that he heard the distant crunching of leaves. Whatever creature was there, it ran at a quick pace, heading towards a set target and probably closing in. Before he could even begin to wonder what the source was, a small growl rang out and gave its identity away - a predator. As immediately as he had heard it. he set off at a gallop to investigate.
---Soliel:
She turns her head to hear the gallop of a Stag. Backing up she goes to find whoever it is, the scar underneath her right eye throbbing uncontrollably.
"I'm Here!" She calls, listening hard to see if she can recognize whoever it was. She spots the Golden coat of a male Fawnling. Knowing her place she creeps closer, head bowed, she calls to him.
"It's Soliel whoever you are. Unbred in this Rut." Her long tail lowers and winds its way around her hind left leg in fear.
---Skuldafn:
He heard the voice once more, off to his right and not far away. Soliel he thought... it was familiar - from a while back, a year it had to have been by now. He lept down from the ridge he was running on, coming into the area where the doe had tripped and fallen.
"what's the problem?" he had asked,looking her over as to refresh his mind and refill his memories, but before he could wait for an answer from her he could hear the predator drawing closer.
Skuldafn turned his head and looked upon the mountain lion, coming in at a full charge as it had been before he landed down from the ridge. It had been so set on moving in for the golden doe that when the massive General stood in front of him, he could not think of a way to take the new prey down. He had no time to stop and run, the look in his eyes said it all, so he lept and made his best attempt to take the stag down.
It was futile, the best the young predator could do was stagger Skuldafn a step or two, but the stag knew just how to react to his attack, countering with a quick thrust of his antlers straight into the cougar's ribs. It let out a howl, pain and terror mixed into its pitiful tone, and was flung across into a tree. The predator hit the cold bark with a thud, and limped away almost as quickly as he had come. He may have got off alive, but at least from now on he would know to avoid these forests.
Skuldafn stared off in the direction of the beaten foe until he was sure it had left, and then turned around to speak to the doe, "are you alright, m'am?"
---Soliel:
She quivers slightly, her legs slightly shaky. "I'm Fine Sir.." She whispers, her tail flicking nervously. Her brow furrows as she suddenly remembers who she was standing infront of. "Skuldfn, is that you?" She gasps, raising a foreleg.
The younger doe looks up at the large stag with eyes of wonder. "You've changed since I last saw you!" Her scarred face alight with curiosity. Taking a cautious step forward she makes a small circle around him, admiring him.
Returning to her spot infront of him she smiles briefly before speaking again, "Thank you for saving me. I am grateful." She tucks a leg in and bows to the stag.
---Skuldafn:
Skuldafn nodded with a gentle smile, "no need to bow, Soliel - I am simply doing my job. A moment later I would hate to think what would happen - I'm just glad you are ok".
It had been a whole year since they had seen, and looking at her face, the memories had flooded back, almost too much for his mind to bear.
"I apologize greatly for not seeing you sooner than this moment, m'lady - my work has kept me very busy this past year. How has life been since last we met?"
---Soliel:
She nudges his cheek with her nose, "Please, lets not think of it." Stepping back she looks around, "Hows the herd been, anyone know I'm returning?" She looks to the sky, smelling the air.  "I suppose it's Rutting season, I'm surprised your not horn locked with some other buck fighting for a girls gaze." She shrugs a shoulder.
Turning away from him slightly, her scarred rump swaying sligthly, she leans her head down and moves the dirt around so her scent is masked from predators. Her scent is very thick within the air because of the season it is.
---Skuldafn:
"I don't normally fight for does unless I feel it in their best interest. Abusive or ill-suiting stags do not deserve wonderful ladies - I think fighting that cougar might have been the only sparring I've done this season"
He had scented her from the beginning of the fight, aware of it but not saying anything. He knew all does had it, it was just nature - so he did his best to not bring up her rubbing herself with dirt. Instead, he continued their conversation.
"Did you have your fawn?" he asked, "I hadn't seen you around for me to be able meet him or her, so I wondered for a moment if something had happened"
---Soliel:
Sol looks up at him and smiles a little "His name is Bellator, or Tor, and he looks like his father. You know he wants to become a solider." She smiles slightly.
Turning her head towards the herd grazing lands she looks to Skul and asks in a soft tone "How have you been?"
---Skuldafn:
Skuldafn gave a brighter smile - a son! It was joyous news indeed, it seemed that for his last rut having sons was a blessing - and one in his own image and high aspirations made him very proud indeed. He would at some point love to met this "Bellator", but that would have to wait until another day.
"I have been well" he replied in response to her question, the thought of the fawn slowly fading off his mind as he watched the doe,"as well as a stag in my position could be - usual patrolling, conversing with the King and other Generals - Its been fairly quiet on my part"
---Soliel:
"A General, that's amazing." She smiles briefly before going quiet. The dirt that she used to mask her scent not masking it to well. "Sorry.....This is the first season I'm capable of breeding.." She stutters and twists her hoof in the dirt.
---Skuldafn:
"First since last season, I take it?" he asked, "I understand your nervousness about it however - knowing stags, especially some of the idiot ones - they will not take "no" for an answer. While it may be in good interest, situations can escalate rather quickly". He tapered off, remembering some of the fights he had witnessed just days before. It was gruesome, but nothing he hadn't seen before -but no matter how or when it took place, it took a while to get used to.
---Soliel:
"The Raider Stags from Blackwood were whooping and yelling earlier this day, going to steal does." She flicks her tail before backing up and rising on her hind legs a little bit and shaking out her growing pelt, lowering again she looks up at him; scenting the thick scent of stag. "You have any does in your harem this year?"
After asking, she allows herself to relax in his presence, slowly shifting her weight on her hooves to cause her to make her take a step forward, closer to him.
---Skuldafn:
"None set in stone" he replied, observing her movements as she strolled closer to him, "And I don't truly prefer the word "claim", but since there is no correct terminology for it I suppose that word would have to work. Like I said before though, Its in the best interest of the doe's safety that I would try to claim her - if she so wished. I believe its a choice on both parts - if I didn't, well - it wouldn't be right."
---Soliel:
She looks up at him before brushing up against him, raising her tail to let the downy soft feathers brush against his chin. "Claim me." She nudges his cheek again with her soft muzzle.
Turning again she looks back at him, showing him her complete trust within him.
---Skuldafn:
He was taken back a bit by the rather straight-forward request, remembering how last year she had been so much more shy around him. It took some talking to to get her to open up to him, and now as he spoke to her - she seemed much more confident in herself, at least when talking to him. It was a touching gesture, whether she fully realized it or not. Realizing he had been left with a question to answer, he finally found the words to respond with.
"If it's your wish, Sol, then yes" he paused, but quickly added, "But only if you are sure once again that you would allow me the honor".
---Soliel:
"You are the kindest stag I have met." She looks at him, sure with herself, "I am fully aware with my request and I am allowing you the honor Skul." She leans her head up to him, trying to look him in the eyes. "I trust you with my life."
---Skuldafn:
"You humble me, m'lady" he replied with a kind gesture, "and I promise to you that I will be there to protect you, a watchful guardian I will always be."
---Soliel:
After they parted for a moment for Skul to do his rounds, Soliel feels a slight settling within her, as if she knew she had become impregnated, which was good enough for her as she smiles to herself.
